Boys & Girls Nursery Stanmore treated to Bollywood Experience

Children from Boys & Girls Nursery Stanmore enjoyed a visit from local dance company KSPARK Entertainments for a Bollywood experience to start the celebrations of the festival of Diwali.

The children welcomed Nishi to their nursery and enjoyed singing and listening to music, learning to move their bodies to traditional dances, and took turns to explore the vibrant colours of dupattas, long pieces of cloth worn around the head, neck, and shoulders.  Nishi also treated the children to a Bollywood dance which was greeted with enthusiasm and cheers.

Natasha Kirby, Director, Boys & Girls Nursery said: “We live in a multi-cultural society and these visits help children to understand that different religions are celebrated throughout the world – a key objective of the EYFS. It was a wonderful interactive experience for our children, and a super way to expand our children’s learning”
