Educational Visits

Children are naturally curious and they love to learn about the world around them. It’s important to offer a wide range of experiences for children to increase their knowledge and sense of belonging.  This can be through visits around their local community, meeting important members of society and engaging with others in the neighbourhood we live in.

We welcome a variety of visitors into nursery, from the fire brigade, vets and school crossing patrollers to parents joining us in nursery to talk about their culture, profession or hobbies.

Learning about the different people who help us and the different festivals our peers celebrate, children start to understand roles in society, identify similarities and differences with their own experiences and develop respect and knowledge.
