World Religion Day
Boys & Girls Nursery Croxley Green were visited by Associate Minister Jonathan Bishop from Croxley Green Baptist Church to celebrate World Religion Day.
The Pre-School children enjoyed a visit from Minister Bishop where they learned about his role within the church and why he loves what he does. He went on to discuss the various ceremonies held in the church and what his favourite part of each ceremony is. After the visit the children produced colourful pieces of art work whilst discussing other religions which are celebrated throughout the nursery.
Natasha Kirby, Director, Boys & Girls Nursery said: “We live in a multi-cultural society and these visits help children to understand that different religions are celebrated throughout the world – a key objection of the EYFS. We are grateful for our visitors to take the time out of their day to speak with the children.”
These visits are part of our wider set of ‘Mini VIP Events’ that Boys & Girls Nursery organise each month which coincide with seasonal activities and days of interest.
