Boys & Girls turn their nurseries into mini festivals – Press Release

With all the summer music festivals taking place across the country Boys & Girls Nursery have decided to join in the fun and create a mini festival themselves.

Building their own festival tents, wearing appropriate clothing and wellies, the little ones have had an amazing time this week with Dinky Dancers, who produced a bespoke themed session.

“We were absolutely delighted to be able to join in the festival fun at all 4 of the Boys & Girls nurseries! Our Dinky Dancers sessions always follow a half termly theme based on the EYFS but it was fantastic fun delivering our extra special mini festivals! At Dinky Dancers we are passionate about providing opportunities to create a life-long passion for physical activity and creativity and the festival week has provided us with an extra opportunity do this. Both the children and staff have had a truly memorable few days and we are very excited about our next joint venture!” said Kate Smithard at Dinky Dancers.

“Dinky Dancers run a session every week, the children love it and this week really made them smile, dance around and sing loudly. Music is so important in a child’s development, it aids them with their gross motor skills, it helps promote spatial awareness, counting the beat and feeling the rhythm is great for numeracy skills and singing encourages word formations amongst other benefits. A big thank you to Dinky Dancers, who as usual created a real buzz”. Said, Natasha Kirby, Founder, Boys & Girls Nursery.
