Apprenticeship Opportunities open up at Boys & Girls Nursery

The start of the new year often leads many to explore new avenues and adventures for the year ahead. With this in mind, Boys & Girls Nursery, a local, family run nursery group with settings in Watford, Stanmore, Rickmansworth, and Croxley Green, have launched an Apprenticeship Scheme to provide an opportunity for those with an interest in childcare to gain skills, work alongside an experienced team and study towards a fully funded early year’s qualification all whilst earning a wage.

Working closely with The Childcare Company, all Boys & Girls Nursery Apprentices are coached by an allocated tutor, as well as benefitting from in-house mentors and sharing knowledge and best practice with qualified team members. Early Years Childcare Apprenticeships take 1 to 2 years to complete, and learners are fully supported every step of the way.

To start an Early Years Apprentice, all you need is;

  • A kind nature
  • A fun sense of humour
  • Enthusiasm
  • Positive attitude
  • Patience

Natasha Kirby, Director, Boys & Girls Nursery, said “We are proud to be leaders in providing opportunities for new talent in the early years sector. Many of our apprentices have gone on to do amazing things, a qualification and experience in childcare can lead to so many different paths from teaching to midwifery, social work, and early years management. Once qualified, we are dedicated to providing excellent terms to our team which is why we pay the National Living Wage as minimum.
