Our Watford Nursery
Boys & Girls Nursery Watford is situated in the heart of the town, very close to Watford Junction Station and The Harlequin Shopping Centre with excellent road links in to and out of London.
Baby Room (3 months – 18 months)
Our Baby Room is equipped with the latest, age specific equipment that allows your child to learn as they play. There are also separate areas within the room to further enhance their experiences. A carpeted area which allows safe and comfortable play and a messy area where your child can express their early creative flare! There is also a quiet area for rest time, with each child having their own cot. This room has en-suite changing facilities and direct access into our enclosed garden. Our aim is to create a “home-from-home” feel which will reassure your child and allow them to get on with the “task” of playing and learning!
Toddler Room (18 months – 2 years 10 months)
For this age range, we again have age specific equipment, toys and materials. The room is bright and airy and the children are encouraged to explore their imaginations and their surroundings. The activities at this stage are both structured and free flowing. This allows your child to be independent while, at the same time, allowing our dedicated staff to plan and continually record their progress against their individual profiles. This process highlights when key milestones are achieved and gives us the opportunity to regularly feedback your child’s progress to you.
Pre-School Room (2 years 10 months – 5 years)
Preparing little people for the big world! At this stage, we follow the early stages of the Foundation Stage Curriculum which helps prepare your child for school. In conjunction with regular, two-way feedback with you, we identify what your child’s strengths are and what needs they have. This flexible but structured approach enables each child to have a “custom made” learning plan that helps them to realise their full potential. We also have regular input from a qualified teacher who helps us to plan the best ways of furthering children’s knowledge. Even with all of this going on, we never forget that to make learning the most effective it has to be fun! We have a wide range of age specific equipment to help develop areas such as science and mathematics. Computer stations, malleable play and small world are just some of the fun ways that stimulate your child’s learning while they play.
